just a few photos to share of recent yarn spun..
this baby suri alpaca fiber is from
woolgatherings, found at the columbia gorge fiber festival. the fiber had such a fantastic sheen to it, and the moment i touched it, i was sold. now i want nothing more than to sit in my own field surrounded by alpacas, spinning and crocheting my days away.
in the meantime, i'll use the lace weight singles yarn to make myself a comfy shawl to fondle while i'm at my desk.
this 2-ply fingering weight yarn is a wonderful blend of 50% merino/30% alpaca/20% silk in a calm, neutral "praline" colorway from
fat cat knits.
these colors are a good match for my wardrobe.
